First Look at PostMaster 3

When PostMaster launched just over two years ago, I never thought it would turn into an app used by thousands of people to help track their deliveries across the whole world.

Users love PostMaster’s simple and beautiful interface, Widgets, Privacy Mode, and so much more. The next version builds upon these features and introduces even more new features and designs in the largest update ever to PostMaster.

To celebrate PostMaster turning two years old, here’s a sneak peak at the next major version of PostMaster and some of the features you can expect to see when it launches this Fall.

New for iOS 16

Widgets

The new Home Screen and Lock Screen Widgets

Widgets have been completely re-worked in every way.

For users on the new iOS 16, you can now add multiple widgets to your Lock Screen, including information about your deliveries and counts of your incoming, delivered, and total deliveries. You can see the name, courier, and tracking number or delivery date (if entered). PostMaster supports every configuration of Lock Screen Widgets, including Circular, Rectangular, and Inline.

For users on both iOS 15 and iOS 16, Home Screen Widgets feature a beautiful new design, bringing the essential information of your delivery to your Home Screen. You can now select your delivery directly from the Widget panel, allowing you to display the delivery of your choosing. You can also choose to display different deliveries on as many different Widgets as you want.

The new PostMaster Widgets on the Home Screen and Lock Screen feel fresh and beautiful, and I think you will really enjoy them.

Focus Filters and App Shortcuts

PostMaster 3.0's Focus Filters and Shortcuts

PostMaster 3.0 supports the all-new Focus Filters, allowing you to bring your attention to what you need most from PostMaster.

PostMaster’s Focus Filters allow you to show only incoming deliveries and/or set PostMaster to Dark Mode whenever Focus is enabled. These changes bring clarity and focus to PostMaster and are designed to help you remain focused throughout the day.

Additionally, PostMaster supports the all-new App Shortcuts in iOS 16. You can now ask Siri about your deliveries and you’ll be brought directly to PostMaster. You can also set different actions when with the new PostMaster Focus Filters.

The new PostMaster shortcuts can also be added to already existing Shortcuts and Automations, allowing you to integrate PostMaster with your morning routines, schedules, and more.

Live Text

With Live Text, scan tracking numbers from receipts, proof of postage sheets, and more, using your iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or iPadOS 16.

When adding a delivery, simply tap the Live Text icon in the tracking number field, hold your compatible iPhone or iPad up to the tracking number, tap the number, confirm, and your tracking number is seamlessly filled in.

Other New Features

A gorgeous new design

A look at some of the beautiful new interfaces in PostMaster 3.0

PostMaster 3.0 features a gorgeous new design, with an immense focus on keeping what you need most front and centre. In fact, every single view has been completely redesigned.

Your incoming and delivered deliveries are now contained in a single view. Instead of a separate section for your custom deliveries, they have been integrated with your incoming deliveries.

The tracking interface has been totally redesigned, now filling the entire display with new options to share the latest status while tracking.

Details about your deliveries are conveniently available separate from the tracking view, allowing you to share, mark as delivered, generate a QR code, and more, when you need to.

Couriers

New Courier Options in PostMaster 3.0, including Search, Filters, and Favouriting

There is 300+ new couriers, bringing the total supported couriers to over 500. These new couriers are spread across 70+ regions and over 55 languages.

The new interface features filters for finding couriers by region and language, making it quick and easy to find your courier. The new Courier Overview shows what languages and regions the couriers are available. There’s also new options for recommending new couriers to PostMaster.

Lastly, favourite your most used couriers for them to appear at the top of the list so you can access them quickly.

Some other things…

Lastly, there are a few new features worth mentioning that users will hopefully really enjoy, including:

  • Alternate App Icons: In addition to the gorgeous new PostMaster 3.0 icon, you can now choose from a selection of alternate icons, ranging from alternate background gradients to vintage PostMaster icons. If you’ve purchased Unlimited Deliveries, you’ll unlock a special gold icon at no additional cost.

  • Statistics: Within Settings, there is now a set of statistics measuring how you use PostMaster and also the number of couriers available to you. Statistics includes how many deliveries you have alongside how many couriers, courier regions, and courier languages are available. As always, these statistics are calculated on-device and are never shared with anyone but you.

  • Improved Support Options: It is now easier than ever before to get support for PostMaster. In addition to the rewritten Quick Start Guide, you can now email PostMaster Support directly within PostMaster using Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook, and more.

Conclusion

That’s a quick look at some of the new features that will be coming with PostMaster 3.0! PostMaster has certainly come a long way since the first version two years ago, with 30 couriers and only one courier language.

PostMaster Version 3.0 will be available this Fall for all users on iOS 15 and iOS 16, so stay tuned for a release date! Thank you for reading this sneak peak and I hope you are looking forward to PostMaster 3.0.
